Pre-Litigation - information - injury cases

When you first contact us, we will set up an initial meeting to determine if we are a good fit for each other. The majority of our cases are referrals from other attorneys who are familiar with our services, and we only accept a small percentage of those cases.  After the meeting, if both the potential client and the firm believe it is a good fit, we enter a retainer agreement describing the scope of the case and the responsibilities of both the client and the firm.

We have three different types of practice areas.  In cases involving an accident injury, we do not charge anything until the end of the case and that is ONLY IF WE WIN!  In our other types of cases, we charge an hourly fee based upon each attorney's years of experience and knowledge regarding the particular field.  For example, Mr. Grimmett is board certified in child welfare law and he is one of the few attorneys in Tennessee who practice administrative law; therefore, he charges more than any attorney in our firm.

When looking at a case, the insurance adjuster will look at several factors for value.  Those factors include, but are not limited to, the extent of damage to the vehicles, the type of treatment provided to the injured parties, and the length of time in which the treatment was provided.  The best way to increase the value of your case is to attend all necessary doctor's appointments and follow all doctor's directions.

We are one of the few firms that breaks our cases into phases so that we can move the cases along as expeditiously as possible.  Altogether, we have multiple phases including, but not limited to, investigation, treating, treatment complete, demand ready, demand sent, negotiation, and hopefully settled.  If the case is not able to settle, we will then move the case to litigation.
